Cornerstone Group
Home / About

One group. Every building need. One point of accountability.

We built Cornerstone so businesses could stop juggling contractors, and deal with a single partner who takes care of the whole life of their buildings.

At the heart of Cornerstone Group is Cornerstone Fitout, a joinery and fit-out business trading since 1986 and part of the group since 2025, built on precision, reliability and relationships that last decades. Alongside it, the group brings together civil and structural engineering, roofing and a renewable energy division.

Today those strands form a single group with one purpose: to be a single, accountable partner for the built environment. Whether a client needs a new building, a re-clad roof, a solar array or a full interior fit-out, they get one team, one relationship and one point of accountability.

Why one partner beats many

Splitting a project across separate contractors creates gaps: in scope, in programme, in responsibility. Bringing those disciplines into one group means tighter coordination, a clearer programme and nobody pointing fingers when trades meet.

Sustainability, built in

We recognise the need to decarbonise construction and actively seek solutions that reduce environmental impact without compromising quality. It's why our energy division exists, and why it works hand-in-hand with construction and roofing.

FAQs

About the group, in plain terms.

Can't see your question here? Our team is happy to talk it through.

How long has Cornerstone been trading?

Our fit-out and joinery business, Cornerstone Fitout, has been trading since 1986 and joined Cornerstone Group in 2025. The group brings that craft heritage together with civil and structural engineering, roofing and renewable energy under one accountable partner.

How is Cornerstone Group organised?

The group brings four disciplines together: construction and civils, renewable energy, roofing and cladding, and fit-out and joinery. Fit-out and joinery is delivered by our sister company, Cornerstone Fitout (cornerstonefitout.co.uk).

Why use one partner rather than several contractors?

Splitting a project across separate contractors creates gaps in scope, programme and responsibility. With the disciplines in one group you get tighter coordination, a clearer programme and nobody pointing fingers when trades meet.

Will the same team stay with my project throughout?

Yes. From the first site survey to final handover, the same Cornerstone Group team stays with your project, which is part of why clients keep coming back.

How does sustainability fit into the way you work?

It is built in rather than bolted on. Our energy division works hand in hand with construction and roofing, and our project management focuses on minimising waste, reducing energy consumption and promoting responsible sourcing.

Let's talk about your next project.
