Felt Roofing Systems

Durable built-up felt systems for flat and low-pitch roofs, installed to last.

Newly finished flat roof with a clean, well-laid waterproof membrane and neat upstands

Built-up felt remains one of the most dependable ways to waterproof a flat or low-pitch roof. We install and repair modern felt systems that stand up to the British weather for years.

For tired roofs that don't need a full strip-off, we can also overlay with a cold-applied liquid system.

Cornerstone Group installs a number of market-leading felt roofing systems in APAO, APP and SBS materials.

Available as single-layer overlay systems or a fully insulated roof build-up to current warm-roof regulations. Tapered insulation schemes can be introduced to an existing flat roof to create effective falls and eliminate ponding water. After moisture-scanning the existing roof, many existing waterproofing systems can be overlaid to reduce cost and minimise disruption on site.

FAQs

Felt roofing questions answered.

Can't see your question here? Our team is happy to talk it through.

Is built-up felt still a good choice for a flat roof?

Yes. Built-up felt remains one of the most dependable ways to waterproof a flat or low-pitch roof, and we install market-leading systems in APAO, APP and SBS materials.

Do you offer torch-on and cold-applied felt systems?

Both. Systems are available in traditional torch-applied and fully cold-applied versions, so we can match the method to your site installation requirements.

Can you overlay my existing flat roof instead of stripping it?

Often, yes. After moisture-scanning the existing roof, many waterproofing systems can be overlaid to reduce cost and minimise disruption on site, and tired roofs can also be overlaid with a cold-applied liquid system.

Can you fix water ponding on our flat roof?

Tapered insulation schemes can be introduced to an existing flat roof to create effective falls and eliminate ponding water. This can be combined with a fully insulated build-up to current warm-roof regulations.

Do you carry out felt roof repairs as well as new installations?

Yes. Alongside new systems we carry out repairs and localised patching, insulation upgrades, and new rooflights and detailing.
